Project of the week 2.15.12

Colors I'm using for this weeks project

This weeks project is a little different.  A little 6 year old girl in my community has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.  A friend of her family's asked me how much I charge for hats and when I found out who it was for, well lets just say I couldn't charge her for them.  There are different organizations out there that take donations of hats, blankets, and toys for children who have cancer.  There are also ones for adults too.  I encourage all crafters to look into these organizations in your area if you are wanting to do something similar.

Project of the week for February 8th

The project I did this week is ever so cute!  I did a twist on a monster hat pattern from The Train to Crazy.
Here is the original pattern which can be found HERE

Of course the Little Guy wanted changes made to it, so I did a few modifications of her design.  He wanted two eyes so I made each one half of the size it calls for.  He also wanted a nose, because Monsters need noses Mom, so I just did a sowed on nose.  Knowing how hard he is on things I decided to sow on teeth instead of using the felt teeth.  I hope you all have fun making this, I know that I did!!!!  Now if I can just convince him that he doesn't have to wear it all the time and can take it off!
